Army intell center gets help with biometric apps
Stanley will assist Army Intelligence Center Language Technology Office
Stanley Inc. has won two Defense Department contracts for biometrics assistance and operational support that have a combined value of almost $8 million.
Both awards will support the U.S. Army Intelligence Center Language Technology Office at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
One is a two-year contract for information technology support services under the company’s General Services Administration Alliant contract vehicle, consisting of time-and-materials and firm-fixed-price task orders worth approximately $6.7 million.
The second award is a two-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract worth $1.22 million from the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization for operational support.
Under the GSA Alliant award, Stanley will provide expertise for a broad range of programs related to the development of biometric and forensic-related applications, management, maintenance, and the operation of government-owned network equipment.
Stanley will continue the development of the Detainee Information Management System and the Multilingual Automated Registration System. These applications provide for the screening and enrollment of displaced persons, refugees and evacuees, detainees and other persons of interest, according to a company announcement released today.
Additionally, Stanley will support the development of forensic applications and capabilities for all stages of the forensic process.
Under the second award, Stanley will provide field support, network maintenance and documentation.
Stanley, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 44 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal contractors.
