HOUSE COMMITTEE OKS DEEPWATER OVERHAUL The
House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee has approved reform
legislation that would overhaul the Coast Guards Deepwater
acquisition program. It also advanced a Coast Guard authorization bill
that provides $917 million for Deepwater in FY 2008.
NAVY GREENLIGHTS GLOBAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
The Navy has lifted a stop work order on a Global Contingency
Construction Contract awarded last year, allowing the three prime
contractors to move ahead on the work.
